FREDDIE MERCURY's Rolls Auctioned On eBay
October 12, 2005United Press International is reporting that a silver Rolls-Royce belonging to late QUEEN frontman Freddie Mercury is being auctioned on eBay with his favorite Kleenex still in the car.
Bids were nearly $15,000 Wednesday (Oct. 12) for the 1974 luxury vehicle being sold by Mercury's sister, Kash. She said she could not bring herself to remove the unopened box of Kleenex Mansize Tissues from the car after her brother died of AIDS in 1991 at age 45.
The Rolls has been used occasionally, the BBC said, the last time being the 2002 London premiere of the QUEEN musical "We Will Rock You".
